Love Is In the Air | Sacramento Couples Photographer

 I had the honor and pleasure of shooting an engagement session for this darling couple. I am also capturing their wedding in September and can't wait to see them tie the knot. They are amazing together, and individually, super neat people.  I always love shooting couples. Capturing love is such a treat... and so easy to do! New love, even better!

The Three Muskateers | Sacramento Family Photographer

 From the minute I got the call from beautiful Katie, I knew our session would be a treat. She had seen my work online and wanted to get some images of her and her two gorgeous sons. Their first portraits in TEN years!! I know. You are asking how they could have resisted being photographed over and over and over, right? I mean, look at these beautiful people!

 But she wanted them now and I'm so glad she called! We discussed wardrobe a bunch over texts and phone calls and it all turned out perfect. The session was a ton of fun and despite being devoured by mosquitoes at the very very end, everything was perfect.

 Again, how could it not be? Look at them :) But really, if you could meet Katie, you swear she is more beautiful on the inside than out. Truly, truly. This woman is an amazing mom, sacrificing so much for her boys and also puts a ton of work into charity. They adore her. She adores them. They are the three muskateers of modern day!

 And you might recognize the shot above if you have been to my studio or had an ordering session with me. Love.

 I love how we hit two different locations and, with a change of clothing, got some varied shots for their walls.

This final one makes me smile. Check out the sign! Yes, some definite eye "produce" for some "chicks" with these handsome fellas. Love it! My job is just awesome. Just sayin' :)

Small Frame, Big Character! | Sacramento Child Photographer

 I had the opportunity to capture sweet W for the third time in his life, and just loved every minute of it! He is ALL boy and full of just the most amazing spunkiness and character! We had our little mini session for the Cutest Kid Charity Contest for NILMDTS and he rocked it.

 Does he not just exude character?! I can totally visualize him as an adult with all the great expressions he was making!

 We shot our little session at my home, so I had to take a quick pause to capture what fascinated Mr. W.

 I can't wait to see him again and see what else he has planned for me!

Fields of Beauty | Sacramento Child Photographer

 I have realized that I am soo far behind in blogging! I have been giving regular sneak peeks on my Facebook Page, but have been remiss here. Sorry! I have much to share, and hope to post more frequently. Until then, here are some beautiful sisters I had the pleasure of photographing this year. We were able to catch the beautiful fields of mustard that just added to their beauty.

 The oldest reminds me so much of one of my nieces, it's a little crazy. I had a ton of fun with them and even got mom to jump in a few shots at the very end. Guess you can tell where their beauty comes from!

 OOOOh my goodness! I love these sweet little boys. You have seen them before here on my blog and they just keep getting cuter and cuter! They did a little mini session with me for the NILMDTS cutest kid contest and I just loved how their personalities came out!

 How can you resist these adorable faces? You just can't! So you will have to get used to wanting to reach out and squeeze their sweet little cheeks because they will be making another appearance this Fall! Can't wait! Until then, feast your eyes on their sweetness :)

Sunkissed & Sweet | Sacramento Childen's Photographer

 I have had the pleasure of capturing Sweet Barcelona (don't you love her name?) a couple times now and it is always a joy. She is so sweet and tenderhearted. I love how her tenderness shines though in these images.

 We had a lovely evening and found some friends along the way. I think this little ladybug stuck with us for quite some time, much to the delight of Miss B.

A Mommy's Love - I Heart Faces Challenge | Sacramento Baby and Maternity Photographer

I haven't submitted an image for an iheartfaces challenge in quite some some, but since it is Mother's Day weekend and the theme is "Hey, Girl", I thought I would include one from this neat session I had with this beautiful pregnant momma and her family. I love that she was trying to show her sweet son how to blow on the flower to make it fly away. Images like these are especially poignant for me today, having gotten news of a young mother's shocking death. I am so saddened for her family of six and my heart and prayers go out to them. Life is so, so brief - no matter when it ends. But when it ends at 34, it's just so much harder to fathom. Please, please capture the moments, mothers. Enjoy each day with your precious ones and remember that we are never guaranteed tomorrow.

...Reminding myself that Today is for cherishing, and to be joyful and thankful for it.
