Cheeks and Lashes {Sacramento Family & Child Photographer}

Oh my goodness, is this family beautiful, or what? Let me just direct your attention to those cheeks..those eyelashes..oh my! This sweet little almost 10 month old and his loving parents were my first mini session of the season and they were just perfect. The parents were so great and patient with both me and their curious and adorable little one. It was a great way to start a weekend morning. Thank you so much, sweet M family, for a very fun time and an enjoyable morning! I can't wait to see which image you choose for your Christmas cards!

Senior Sessions Rock!

I am loving my new senior announcement cards! They are so hip and modern, I can see them work for every senior you know! They are customizable with the name of the senior and the date of graduation and you can add any photo from my special senior sessions (and yours will be without my logo)! I am booking already and can't wait to get more on my list! So if you have a senior or know one, please be sure to send them my way for a fun, creative, and hip outdoor custom senior session that they can cherish for a lifetime.

Rust {Sacramento Child and Family Photographer}

I love the area I live in. I can be cruising down the street and find an field of sunflowers or an old farm with rusted out cars and machines any day of the week. And I live in a big city! There is so much variety and it's always fun to be able to just pull off the road and capture some impromptu images with one of my cutie pies.

This was one of those days. Though I wish he would not have been dressed in his school uniform, I love this set of photos! Had I known we would have found this gem of a location, you bet I would have dressed him differently and it would have made for even better photos, but I'm thinking his dimples really do enough, right? Don't you love this location? I do, but as we were leaving, I did see a sign or two that seemed to indicate that perhaps I should not be there. Hmm, I think I must find a solution to that, because this was such fun!

Friendship and Fun {Sacramento Portrait Photographer}

This week, a photographer friend and I went out on a brief excursion to scout new places to photograph our clients. We didn't really know it would end up being more of a silly fun time capturing each other through our lenses, but it did. I had such a fun time with her and I know I captured her beauty in between the silliness. Just look.

Photographing the Photographer..a Sneak Peek {Sacramento Child & Family Photographer}

It was such a blessing to photograph the N Family! Mom is a dear friend of mine and a fellow photographer. I definitely wanted to make this family shine as they do in real life. It was so much fun and I have to say, I really got in touch with the "kid" in me hanging out with their two kids. They are beautiful, spunky and fast. I'm so glad I got to capture them last night!

The N Family - They are such a warm and loving couple and their kids are just the cutest!
Don't you just love this? Notice the "hug" he is giving her. He pulled a couple fast ones on us that night! Right Mindy? LOL
Sweet couple, I tell ya!
The smiles were always there, they were just mostly on the move. I was happy we were able to capture some that were pretty still!
Such a sweet face!
This is them. They are so sweet.  I had to add an urban feel to it. Wish there was more rust on the container!
Sweetness!
I love this tender moment. It was one of our last shots of the night.

Family Love - Close to My Heart Sneak Peek {Sacramento Child and Family Photographer}

Over the holiday weekend, my family and I traveled to Southern California to visit family. I asked my brother and his wife if they wanted to do a little impromptu photo session with my incredibly adorable nephew and they said yes! I so wish we lived closer...can you imagine having to be so far away from those cute cheeks!?

It was a fun and very warm session, but I love the light shining from this family. They all have amazing eyes and they are so in love with their son. It's a blessing to watch them love on that cutie! So, without further delay, here is the gorgeous M family!

Okay, so this is the opposite of one of the poses I like to do..with the parents in back fondly looking on their child. With sweet little A, we had to improvise a bit. As an almost 2 year old, he wanted to do a bit of his own thing, so I went with the flow and tried this shot. I love it!
