I Heart Faces | Wind {Sacramento Family Photographer}

This is a fun week over at I Heart Faces. The challenge is wind! I thought immediately back to my session the lovely L Family.  We had such an entertaining session (in so many ways!), not the least of which was the wind that would kick up from time to time in our little urban location. I went back through the images and found this doozy to share. Ah, the wind. Sometimes, it can just cause us to smile.. after it has first rubbed our nerves a bit!

Head on over to I heart faces for the rest of the entries..they are bound to be beautiful and fun!

I Heart Faces: Sun Flare Challenge {Sacramento Family Photographer}

This week's challenge over at I heart faces is Sun Flare! I love capturing sunflare during my shoots and this is one of my favorites. I love how it drenches the image in warm, yummy light and how it just begs warm weather to come and stay. There are some great images over there, so be sure to go check it out!

And I wanted to remind you that my website launch and giveaway is still happening! You have until this Friday, March 18th, to check out my new website, become a Lisa Smiley Photography Facebook liker and comment on my blog post below. I hope you can join in the fun and enter to win a free session with me!

A Blast from the Past {Sacramento Family Photographer}

So one Sunday morning I was walking down the hall at church and I see this pretty gal whom I recognize. But from where? I had to go a bit back in time, but soon realized I knew her from high school. And I went to high school 450 miles from where I now go to church! I hadn't seen her since high school. Yes, it really is a small world.

It was great to reconnect and chat about old friends and our home town. I was honored that she asked me to take her family photos this year and hope she likes them as much as I do! Here she is with her boys and her hubby. Seriously, she just as beautiful as ever. And she has the most kind and gentle spirit. I hope it shows in the images, because it certainly shows when you are with her. Thanks for allowing me to capture these moments together!
